This paper uses TM5-4DVAR to asses variation in the oxidative capacity of our atmosphere using measurements of methylchloroform. The figure below show variations in OH (ar more accurately k(T).OH, with k(T) the rate coefficient of the reaction between OH and methylchloroform) and ENSO. A correlation of r = -0.47 is found.
