global chemistry transport model
Calculated global CH4 growth rate variations with respect to the year 1990 induced by the different drivers, using (a) ORCHIDEE and (b) LPJ to represent variability in CH4 emissions from wetlands. Simuluations from Set I are used in both plots to infer the effect of stratospheric sulfur, stratospheric ozone, meteorology and emissions other than wetlands. Simulations from Set II are used only to infer the effect of LPJ emission variability. The overall variability (“All”) is calculated as the sum of the individual variations.
